How does Fortuna work with Highmark?

At no additional cost, Highmark provides Fortuna as a Medicaid navigation service to members. Fortuna helps Highmark members with applying for PH-95 with the state and your county.

How does Fortuna work?

It’s simple: just fill out the eligibility screening and apply online on Fortuna's website. After you apply, Fortuna will follow up with you to collect proof of income for parents and provide proof of disability for your child.

This could be documentation that your doctor can fill out, or documentation you may already have, such as an IEP from your child's school. The state may also ask for additional documentation, depending on your specific situation.

When you apply with Fortuna, you provide consent for Fortuna to serve as your authorized representative. This means that Fortuna can submit the application for you, any documentation the state requests, and call into the County Assistance Office (CAO) about your case. Once your case has been finalized, Fortuna will remove itself as your authorized representative with the state.

Can I keep Highmark for my health insurance?

Of course! Highmark will remain your primary coverage. You can select Highmark Wholecare as your secondary Medicaid coverage if approved for PH-95.

What does Fortuna cost?

Fortuna is available to Highmark members at no additional cost.
